The Pie the Prez Fundraiser was held by Grand View’s Education Club this past Wednesday. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise money for Luis, a student from Cattell Elementary in Des Moines, who was involved in a terrible bicycle accident. Grand View students paid $3 for one pie, or $5 for two pies, to pie the faces of some of Grand View’s student leaders. All proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to Luis’s family. As simple and fun as the Pie the Prez fundraiser was, the cause was the most important part to the students.
