Students discuss Trump’s impact on their lives

College traditionally comes with a number of stressors. Debt, relationships and finding a job regularly weigh on students. Throw in a new and highly unpredictable president, and the stress only increases.

Trump becoming president has many students afraid to join “the real world” because of the changes they feel he might be trying to make. Other students aren’t afraid at all. To make sense of the mixed feelings, we asked a few upperclassmen at Grand View what they think their life will be like in the next four years now that Trump is in office. We also asked them to reflect on what the quote “We will make America great again” means to them.
