Zoom Confessions

When we talk about confessions, what automatically comes to mind? Is it the Usher song “Confession” or when you walk into a church to confess your sins? There are embarrassing moments in this world that we are not supposed to discuss, and some of which we are not able to discuss here, but what if there was someone who had an embarrassing moment just like you, only their moment was in front of the whole class on Zoom? Here we will go behind the scenes of the student body here on campus to unravel the mysteries of what really goes on behind the Zoom call. The expectations of Zoom classes are to remotely learn through technology as if you were in class, or so we think…

Cam Maxfield – “There have been times when I am Zooming from my phone while driving because I did not want to be late for the class. It might not be the smartest thing to do but at least I did not miss.”

Ernest Docker – “While I was on a Zoom call, there was a student who left his microphone on and began talking while everyone else was on mute, and he started cussing and asking another classmate if he was there, until I told him through the class that his microphone was on. Dayne, the teacher began to laugh at him.”

Ashlee Seaton – “The most embarrassing moment that I have done during a Zoom call was that I was trying to plug in my laptop while the camera was on, and I ended up falling off my bed in the middle of class. Luckily, no one caught me falling or even asked if I was all right. After that moment, I decided to turn off my camera since that incident because I was too embarrassed to show my face.”

Quynton Younker – “I definitely slept through my Macroeconomics class without the teacher knowing. It was just one of those days in which I was tired and could not focus, so the only best option was to sleep.”
